Korean BBQ β€’ Washington

🍴 Chosun Korean BBQ β€” Federal Way, Washington

Visited: October 2025
What We Ordered: Steamed Dumplings, Spicy Marinated Crab, Beef Bulgogi, and Seafood Tofu Soup (Medium Spicy)

πŸ₯˜ First Impressions

We were greeted as soon as we walked in and seated right away. Even though it wasn’t busy, the staff were attentive β€” menus and water arrived almost immediately. The space is bright, clean, and family-friendly, with a comfortable atmosphere that feels welcoming for both groups and kids. Service was good overall β€” friendly and helpful, though not quite exceptional. Our waiter knew the menu well and handled questions with confidence.

🍽️ The Food

We decided to skip the all-you-can-eat BBQ this time and order directly from the kitchen β€” a nice option for when you want good Korean food without the grill.

The Steamed Dumplings were a surprise hit β€” large, flavorful, and perfectly textured. Sorn’s Spicy Marinated Crab was another standout; she loved the seasoning and spice, though it’s worth noting it’s raw blue crab, which not everyone expects. My Beef Bulgogi was tender, well-seasoned, and carried that perfect balance of sweet and savory. The Seafood Tofu Soup, ordered medium spicy, came out piping hot and aromatic β€” once it cooled, the broth was rich and comforting, though it could have used a bit more seafood.

As expected from a good Korean restaurant, the banchan (side dishes) were plentiful, flavorful, and constantly refreshed. From kimchi and pickled radish to potato salad and japchae, every bite had that familiar comfort of a well-balanced Korean spread.

πŸŒ† Atmosphere & Vibe

Relaxed and casual, with a clean layout and a warm, local feel. It’s great for families or small groups who want authentic Korean flavors without driving into Seattle. The space feels friendly and accessible β€” perfect for an easy dinner out.

πŸ” Would We Go Back?

Absolutely. Next time, we’ll go back without the kids to try the table BBQ experience β€” the sizzling grill aroma in the air made it hard not to.
